The undefeated WePlay Champions strike again
MOUZ NXT keeps excelling in CS:GO, holding another trophy of the WePlay Academy League Season 4, showing amazing teamwork. The current lineup consists of Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, Miłosz “mhL” Knasiak, Hubert “szejn” Światł, Jimi “jimpphat” Salo and Dorian “xertioN”Berman and we are very proud of their achievement.
Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo, the coach of MOUZ NXT gave some insights on our rising stars. Before the Playoffs of WePlay started, the team played against forZe, Enterprise, and Fnatic in the Group Stage of REPUBLEAGUE Season 3. Even though it was a close match against forZe, TOBIZ explains that the team agreed that they could’ve won the match much smoother, as they lost the first map but came back stronger for the last two maps. This gave the team a confidence boost which enhanced the team spirit and overall mood of the team. “The Enterprise match had a similar beginning. Even though we started with some jitters, we just had to shake it off after the first map, knowing we could do much better and so we did. A good start to the REBUPLEAGE Group Stage from our side and the spirits very high at the Bootcamp.“, says Tobias. The players spent most of the time playing matches in Faceit, analyzing and rewatching the VODs of the games.
It was finally time to play the first match in the WePlay Academy Playoffs against FURIA. TOBIZ says that they prepared as well as possible, nevertheless, there isn’t a lot of content to properly analyze their play style and they were surprised by their strategies. “We didn’t play good enough individually that day, which the whole team realized and was discussed later on.”, explains Tobias.
Next, the team had to face both Fnatic squads on the same day. The first opponent was Fnatic Rising in the lower bracket of the WePlay Playoffs. They were no easy opponents as MOUZ NXT lost the last match against them in the group stage. What happened after that is the reason why the team is loved by our fans and why they are the undefeated champions. Even though they were down 0-8 and 0-12 on both maps, they still won them regardless. They are true professionals, despite their young age. “This is something I have worked on with the team a lot, even when we are down 0-5 or more, we shouldn’t let this affect us from playing our own game.”, explains TOBIZ, showing how proud he is of the team. Right after playing Fnatic Rising, MOUZ NXT faces Fnatic with the mindset of having nothing to lose, as they already secured a spot in the REPUBLEAGUE playoffs. It was a close match, but it came down to small individual mistakes which cost them the last map, going down 14-16 on Nuke.
Team Spirit and Adaptability
Then the WePlay finals came around, MOUZ NXT faced FURIA again. “Everyone was relaxed, excited, and confident to get revenge against FURIA. The mood was good, and the boys were chilling, just like Pirlo did, playing PlayStation before winning the World Cup in 2006. Siuhy and Milo had fun playing FIFA, no jitters or nervousness – just enjoyment.”, says Tobias. The team dominated against FURIA with a quick 2-0 win, heading into the grand finals against BIG. A derby and rematch from last season for the grand finale. Tobias explains: “They are a team we have played well against and today wasn’t any different, we had a good game-plan and siuhy did an amazing job calling the boys to victory.”
