DOTA 2 Star Seleri Joins MOUZ as Captain

MOUZ welcomes Melchior "Seleri" Hillenkamp as the new captain for our revitalized DOTA 2 division. This strategic signing underscores our commitment to building a championship-level roster and marks a significant step in MOUZ's return to top-tier DOTA 2 competition.

Seleri, a 25-year-old Dutch support known for his sharp game sense and leadership, joins us at a crucial time. With coach Danny “ImmortalFaith” Moza already onboard, Seleri’s arrival completes a leadership duo poised to guide MOUZ towards the year’s biggest tournaments.

A Proven Winner: Seleri’s Championship Background

Seleri brings a history of high-level success. His impressive track record includes two consecutive Grand Finals appearances at The International.

Beyond TI, Seleri led Gaimin Gladiators to victories at the Lima, Berlin, and Bali Majors in 2023. He also claimed the top spot at the Riyadh Masters 2024, proving his ability to win against elite competition.

The Seleri & ImmortalFaith Reunion

Seleri reunites with MOUZ coach Danny “ImmortalFaith” Moza, a partnership with a proven track record. They previously built Vikin.gg from the ground up, challenging top European teams, and later found success with Team Tickles, which became Gaimin Gladiators.

Seleri shared his excitement about the move: “I’m very excited to be able to continue my career with MOUZ! Teaming up again with ImmortalFaith, who scouted me in late 2019, is very exciting for me. We have a lot of respect for each other and think alike in many aspects. We are ready to show the DOTA world again what we can do together.”

Building Around the Captain

Seleri is the foundation for MOUZ’s new DOTA 2 roster. His role as captain involves shaping the team’s culture and driving its success.

Jan Dominicus, CBDO of MOUZ, elaborated on the decision: “We are very excited to begin a new chapter for our DOTA 2 division with Seleri as captain. He brings one of the most impressive track records in the scene, including two TI Grand Finals appearances and a victory at the Riyadh Masters. He accomplished this by building a team from the ground up, fostering the right culture, and showing dedication to growing as a group—exactly what we’re looking for at MOUZ. Together with his former coaching partner, Danny “ImmortalFaith” Moza, we believe we have the perfect duo to lead our team into an exciting year, with the Esports World Cup in Riyadh and, of course, The International taking place on home soil in Hamburg.”

MOUZ is investing in Seleri’s ability to cultivate a resilient and collaborative environment, aiming for sustained success. Seleri and ImmortalFaith demonstrated in the past their ability to develop talent and build winning teams.

Seleri recently visited the MOUZ HQ in Hamburg and was impressed. “I got to visit the MOUZ HQ since it’s very close to where I live,” Seleri noted. “It’s the best bootcamp I have ever been to, and it’s very exciting to get to prepare in such a good environment.”

Aiming High: EWC and TI in Hamburg

The team’s goals are clear: qualify for and compete at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh and The International. Seleri states confidently: “We will bring MOUZ to TI and EWC!”

The International 2025 holds special significance, taking place in the Barclays Arena in Hamburg from September 11th-14th. As a Hamburg organization, this is a unique home-field opportunity. Seleri’s experience in high-pressure TI Grand Finals will be invaluable as the team aims to perform in front of local fans.

Seleri’s arrival, combined with his reunion with ImmortalFaith and MOUZ’s commitment, sets the stage for an ambitious push in DOTA 2. The goals are the qualification for EWC and TI in Hamburg. Follow MOUZ as we finalize our roster and embark on this exciting journey.
