MOUZ enters VALORANT
It all started in 2002 with Counter-Strike, which is an integral part of who we are today. We have a long history in many esports titles, but FPS games were always a natural choice when it comes to creating teams with strong performances. We have experience in these games and want to transfer our expertise to more games. CS is a great esports title when it comes to viewer experience. It’s easy to follow and packed with action and thrills when an insane clutch is played, all in the first-person view with replays, stats and great commentary. VALORANT shares many of these attributes and makes it a perfect new game for MOUZ.
We build the next generation of champions
Sometimes it’s not about why they meet but that they meet, even though they haven’t played or known each other for a long time, they have shown great results so far. “The team came together pretty spontaneously” says Felix “al0rante” Brandl, the leader of the squad. They have shown great teamwork in the VRL DACH Evolution qualifier, being one of the strongest teams that participated. Now that we have the players under the MOUZ brand, we will give them the tools and environment to grow. For now, their motivation speaks volumes, and they will give it their all to keep the momentum.
The members of MOUZ VALORANT
Felix “al0rante” Brandl
Amine “Amilwa” Saidi
James “Kryptix” Affleck
Laurent “memset” Werly
Joseph “Luzuh” Loose
Some of the players already knew each other before forming the team, al0rante and Amilwa played in Ranked Queue a while ago, Amine states that they are friends and Felix brought him to MOUZ. Luzuh and memset played at RIX together in the past. Joseph speaks very highly of the team: “We are fully confident that we can succeed and surpass our goals as one.” He also knows Kryptix from his time in the Counter-Strike scene. James says: “My goals are to improve even more as an individual player, as well as rising as a strong team together! Looking forward to a great and exciting future.”
It seems to be the right time with the circuit coming around and finding the talent. We take a leap of faith and venture into VALORANT together with our community to have another great title to follow and grow with. More rivalry, more content and stories are to come. Taking the next step in our path of FPS esports history seems like the right thing to do now all things considered.
“The VRL DACH Evolution is a great starting point for this exciting team. At MOUZ we always aim to be the best German team, so winning the German championship would mean a lot to us. Long term we want to establish our team on the international VALORANT stage”, says Jan Dominicus.
The regionals are only the start
We plan to play in the highest leagues. The boys have a lot of potential to unleash and are aware of it and set the bar high for themselves. “Our goal is to be at the top in Europe and compete with the best of the best all around the world”, says Felix.
Hand in Hand is HanseMerkur
Together with the team, we are happy to announce a new partnership with HanseMerkur. The personal insurer is the main partner of our VALORANT team, which will be visible through the VALORANT teams’ jersey, and across our digital assets. With HanseMerkur we found a partner that shares the same values and principles as MOUZ and we are looking forward to get to the top of the European scene of VALORANT ‘Hand in Hand’.
