Prodigy frozen extends his contract with MOUZ CS:GO
19-year-old frozen is next in line to be the star player of MOUZ. He was already a known personality before joining MOUZ in 2019, his rise to the top is well documented with headlines like the 13-year-old player joining FPL and not being able to play in tournaments because of his age. Over the years, he continued to grow in a team environment resulting in five nominations in the bold predictions on HLTV.org by players like Magisk, GuardiaN and rain. We took a chance by signing frozen in 2019, he has proven to be the next star at MOUZ, so we are happy that he will continue to wear our jersey.
good nose for talent
Stefan Wendt, CEO of MOUZ states: “I first got in touch with David in 2018 when he was still 15 years old. Back then I told him that he needs to be patient and that, when the time is right, MOUZ is willing to give him the opportunity to compete on the big stage just like we did before with ropz and NiKo. It was clear that a young and highly skilled player like David could easily become a future star if he gets the right guidance and support from us. Now he has quite some achievements under his belt and I’m really happy to continue this journey together with David. He’s an integral part of our roster and hasn’t even come close to his peak yet.”
When asking frozen about the reasons to stay at MOUZ it’s actually quite the sentimental one: “Staying with MOUZ is something that I felt in my heart. It was the right thing to do at the moment, so I listened to my gut feeling and I went for it.”

bootcamp with the new team
During his last visit in Hamburg, David told us that the two-week bootcamp with the redesigned roster went pretty well overall, they were productive and focused on team building. David emphasized that it was fun and motivating to be with the current lineup and that the new players Nathan “NBK-“ Schmitt and Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás are a good addition to the team. His main reason for staying with MOUZ is definitely the new line-up.
“One thing that surprised me about torzsi is how vocal he is about stuff that he wants in the game and for such a young guy he has a lot of confidence to speak up”, says frozen. “Torzsi is a beast, he’s always grinding and the first that comes to the office. It’s motivating to have someone with his personality on the team. Nathan brings a lot of experience to the team as well as calmness and confidence and he makes us better in general. When it comes to Nathan, what I found surprising is how he thinks about the game, it’s pretty new to me and he’s definitely someone I can learn a lot from.”

time to grow
With the current line-up David thinks that Christopher “dexter” Nong, the rosters’ IGL and young firepower Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras are solid players who have improved a lot in the past year. With frozen as a constant in the line-up, we are sure to face the coming years with strong showdowns and a personality who is very professional and experienced despite his young age. David says: “If you look at my age, I’m still a young guy, but technically I’ve been playing for a long time already and specifically in teams. I’ve been playing in tournaments since I’m 15, maybe even younger, and playing for teams at that.” For him it’s assuring to be a constant part of a team since you can build upon it and put all your energy into training with your teammates.
Frozen shares more opinions on the current team: “If you look at it on paper, it might not seem like we have a lot of firepower on the team, but Aurimas has improved a lot last year and when I look at him now, he has big shoes to fill since ropz left but Auri and Ádám are definitely capable of bringing way more to the table than what people think. Chris has gained a lot of confidence, however there was still something missing in the team. Nathan is the glue who brings all of this together.” He believes in the line-up and asks patience from the fans, which is something Stefan asked from him in the past, showing growth in all aspects of his career.
His enthusiasm to work with the team crystallizes that we made the right decision. David knows the players well and feels comfortable with his role and the org. We can’t wait to see what frozen, and the new line-up have to offer. We enjoy working with him and having him as our star player gives the team a great outlook for the coming years.
