IEM Sydney

From May 1-6, sixteen of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will meet in Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney for a total prize pool of $250,000 USD at the Intel Extreme Masters event. The tournament will be the first to feature the popular map Dust II, which made its return to the active map pool just a few days ago.

In group B, mousesports will start against B.O.O.T-dS, winners of the Asian Qualifier #3, before potentially meeting the likes of Astralis, Natus Vincere and Fnatic in the process. With only three teams to secure a playoff spot, one of these European heavyweights will be guaranteed an early exit in Down Under.

Following a 16:14 and 16:11 victory over Space Soldiers on Mirage and Inferno respectively, mousesports secured their spot at the ESL Pro League season 7 World Finals in Dallas, Texas, from May 14-20. The stacked event features sixteen best teams from Europe, North & South America as well as Asia, who qualified for the $750,000 USD prize money event throughout an ongoing online league phase.

The last time, mousesports competed at ESL Pro League Finals was in season 5, in which they’ve achieved a 5th place finish, winning $45,000 USD in May 2017. After a successful online season, in which the team managed to claim at least one map victory in every BO2 they’ve played (after 24 of 26 maps), mousesports emerged as one of the favorites from Europe and is heading West to compete for a playoff spot in Texas.
